Q

I had my Seven Bank cash card reissued, and the new cash card has arrived. Do I need to perform any procedures for direct banking?

A

When you receive a new card reissued for reasons other than the loss or theft of the old card, please perform the following procedures.

(1) Register for the Direct Banking Service

When you log on to the Direct Banking Service, the "Card Delivery Confirmation" screen will be displayed. Click "Register for Service" and  enter the information indicated on the new card (your Customer ID and confirmation number) to complete the registration.

*You can use the Direct Banking Service even before receiving a new card.

Click "Has Not Yet Arrived"  on the confirmation screen.

However, the following transactions will be unavailable until you complete the setting to use the new card.

- Change the cash card PIN (including issuance of temporary PIN)

- Change the ATM withdrawal limit

- Change the Direct Banking Service transfer limit

- Reissue a cash card (including applying for a change to one with Debit Card Service)

(2) Start using the new card via an ATM

When you receive a new card, use it for deposits, withdrawals, balance inquiries, or other ATM transactions.  The new card will be activated completely when it is used via an ATM, and your old card will become invalid accordingly.

*If the old card is a Cash Card with Debit Card Service with nanaco, you can continue to use it as a nanaco card.

*You can continue to use your old card via an ATM until your new card is activated upon being used via an ATM.  However, please note that if you change your cash card PIN or ATM withdrawal limit via the Direct Banking Service after completing the registration as mentioned in (1), these changes will not be valid for your old card, the Smartphone ATM Service, or FACE CASH. After you use your new card via an ATM, these changes will become valid for the Smartphone ATM Service and FACE CASH.

<How to deal with your old cash card>

After you start using your new card, your old card will become invalid. Please dispose of the old card after cutting it with scissors.

Please note that if the old card is a Cash Card with Debit Card Service with nanaco, the nanaco balance and nanaco points associated with the old card will not be carried over to the nanaco number associated with your new (reissued) Cash Card with Debit Card Service.
